The Sports We Play AP CUP Pickleball 2026 is set to raise the competitive stakes with a total prize pool of RM10,000, as teams from across Malaysia gather in Penang for a full day of high-energy pickleball action.
The tournament will take place on 1 February 2026 (Sunday) at Pickle Land, located at D’Piazza Mall, Bayan Baru, running from 8:00am to 10:00pm. Open to players of all skill levels, the event features a distinctive team-based Legend Combat format that emphasises strategy, rotation, and inclusive competition.
Organised by Sports We Play and supported by AP33, AP CUP 2026 aims to strengthen Malaysia’s growing pickleball scene while encouraging mixed-gender team participation.
Tournament Categories
The AP CUP 2026 will feature two team events:
- Open Legend Combat (Team Event)
- DUPR Below 3.25 Legend Combat (Team Event)
Each category is limited to 27 teams, with entries accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. Registration closes on 24 January 2026 at 11:59pm.
Prize Pool Breakdown
With RM10,000 up for grabs, the tournament rewards top-performing teams across both categories:
Open Legend Combat
- Champion: RM3,000
- 1st Runner-Up: RM1,500
- 2nd Runner-Up: RM750
DUPR Below 3.25 Legend Combat
- Champion: RM1,500
- 1st Runner-Up: RM750
- 2nd Runner-Up: RM400
Registration Fees
- Open Legend Combat: RM300 per team
- DUPR Below 3.25 Legend Combat: RM150 per team
Teams must consist of four to six players, with open-gender participation allowed. Eligibility requirements apply for the DUPR Below 3.25 category at the time of registration.
Tournament Format & Schedule
Matches will be played in an Open Gender Doubles format, beginning with a round-robin stage followed by knockout rounds. The tournament uses a K.O Points system, where teams rotate continuously until winners are determined. Teams featuring female players receive scoring advantages, reinforcing the event’s inclusive design.

- DUPR Below 3.25 Legend Combat: 8:00am – 3:00pm
- Open Legend Combat: 3:00pm – 10:00pm
The organiser reserves the right to amend the schedule if required.
